SSEN reached out to Blumilk to support them engage further with the younger audience in a fun but consistent approach, educating them about electricity and its associated dangers.
In depth research, planning and consultancy was carried out with employees, schools and other external stakeholders to develop a consistent and considered solution. Then, the Powerpack Pals were created!
The Powerpack Pals were developed, following research and psychology, with the use of relatable characters. For example, statistically school children respond to an authoritative figure that is a female rather than a male.
The Powerpack Pals have successful allowed further engagement with the younger audience and providing a fantastic lead to communicate very important messages in a way that allows the younger audience to understand and resonate with them but that also encourages them to take home and discuss with other family members.
A number of tools have been created to support the audience reach for a number of communication channels of which continues to grow, as well as the Powerpack Pal positive impact!
What others say…
Matthew Pittam, Networks Head of Internal Communications and Brand, said: “Just dropping you a quick note to say a huge thank you for the Education Campaign – I think it is excellent; the campaign is very strong, the visuals, briefings and collateral are great – very well thought through and delivered exactly what we had hoped. We’ve already had good feedback internally and I’m excited about rolling out to our business next year.”
