Award season is in full swing, and we couldn’t be more delighted that the Hourly Service campaign that we created for our friends at Bishop Line is a finalist for ‘Best Marketing or Communications Campaign’ at the CoRP Community Rail Awards 2019.
We loved working on this campaign, as it took a relatively simple subject (the change of a train time-table) and made this something really fun, humorous and engaging.
We did this by the use of bright imagery, brought to life with unique, expressive faces to give real personality.
The campaign targeted residents and train commuters along the Bishop Line Train route, which runs from Darlington to Bishop Auckland. We ran this through TV advertising, digital advertising (including social) and platform posters. We also applied the design concepts to biscuits and re-useable travel mugs, filled with tea/coffee that were given to those boarding the Bishop Line train. This gave the customer a permanent reminded of the time-table change.
