A tough choice made easy. Scarborough College’s new prospectus.

Choosing a college for the next step in your academic journey is a big decision, so you need to ensure that you have all the information at hand to make the right choice. Colleges need to stand out from the crowd, showcase their educational facilities as well as show that college life is equally rewarding as the education itself. This is the challenge that Blumilk were set by Scarborough College when producing their new prospectus.

Scarborough College are an independent day and boarding school for boys and girls aged 3 to 18. They pride themselves on providing 1st class education whilst ensuring the student’s time at the college is as enjoyable as possible.

Blumilk created a unique look for the prospectus, which portrayed the message that ‘students come first’, showcasing the college’s offering as accessible, genuine and a solid balance between academia and college life. The brand needed to feel forward thinking but also retain key elements of Scarborough College’s heritage.

After suggesting various concepts, we decided on a matt laminated brochure housed in a presentation sleeve. Both included a balance of main and inset imagery to showcase every element of the College. The finished output used a combination of foil and soft touch lamination to make it feel premium and ensure it was something that could be used time after time.

We’re delighted with the final results as it has achieved the goals set. In regards to the new prospectus and relationship with Blumilk, the Director of Marketing and Admissions Remco Weeda said:

“I am absolutely delighted with the work that Blumilk has done for us. Both in terms of showing us a new creative direction and in their support of our own ideas, I feel that Blumilk is a creative agency that can keep developing with us for the foreseeable future. The prospectus has begun to be distributed, with the majority being handed out tomorrow to prospective students during the College’s open day.
