What do you eat for breakfast?
Don’t take this the wrong way but I’m an ‘overnight oats’ girl (I’m not posh, promise!) with some sort of fruit and a little drizzle of honey.

What is the most ridiculous thing you have ever been asked to do?

Describe your job to a ten-year old child.
I work in an office in Newcastle. There are 19 other people besides me. Half the people design logos, adverts, magazines and things like that. They also design websites and put these on the internet. Our customers ask us to do jobs for them and pay us for doing this for them.

I’m in charge of the people who talk to these customers and make sure they get the jobs done that they ask us to do. I’m also in charge of finding new customers that we could work with.

I go to lots of meetings to talk to customers. I’ve been to Glasgow and Perth in the Scottish Highlands to meet customers in the last four weeks. And twice to London for meetings. I’ve also been to meetings in Newcastle, Durham and York.

What is the best part of your job?
I genuinely love seeing our clients with a smile on their face, celebrating the small successes and shouting about the big ones! A bit cheesy, I know, but true!

What is your proudest moment at Blumilk?
Hmmm, a hard one to narrow down. There have been quite a few. I’d say the proudest moment was the success we’ve had in the last couple of years with the Northern Railways ‘Buy Before You Board’ campaign involving 400 railways stations across northern England.

I was the Account Manager for this project. Getting the campaign message right, working with the Blumilk design and digital studio to bring it to life, getting up at 3am day after day to set up roadshows from Newcastle to Liverpool, was all worth it.

It cemented a brilliant working relationship with our friends at Northern, brought them financial success and delivered, for them and us, 8 UK national industry awards! Beating big names like Addidas, Starbucks, Jet2, Jaguar Land Rover, Rolls Royce, Virgin Active and the Church of England, in the process.

What 3 words would your friends use to describe you?
Well now. I think – outgoing for sure, kind I hope and a perfectionist which irritates them from time to time.

Any embarrassing stories?
I’m admitting to just one. I was on the train to London last year for a rather large pitch to a rather large potential client. I split my dress right down the back. Let’s just say nothing was left to the imagination. There was no time to get it fixed. As a result, I had to fashion a skirt out of my jacket to save my embarrassment. All good though. We won the pitch.

There’s another story, I suppose. I once hit myself in the head with a golf ball when playing golf. I suppose I was young at the time. Hard to do I know. I’ll tell you about what happened when we meet up.

Besides your computer, what’s on your desk right now?
I must admit I’m a bit OCD with keeping a tidy desk. So, there’s not much to report: my phone, a notebook, one glass of water and a couple of bits of paper in a neat pile of course.
